The human figure serves as a canvas upon which I project my own experiences and emotions. The human figure is an effective conduit for expressing complex emotions, as it allows me to tap into the collective unconscious and connect with viewers through the exploration of neurodivergence. Neurodivergent individuals like myself often experience the world differently, and this divergence can lead to challenges and opportunities. My work seeks to embrace and celebrate the nature of diverging by using gestural lines and bold colors. By using myself as a subject to communicate the universal vulnerabilities of being human, I hope to evoke a sense of connection and empathy in the viewer.
